New Salary Table Design Is Live — Let Me Know What You Think

January 16th, 2026
We've rolled out a brand-new salary table design on the website, and this update is all about making police pay data easier to find, compare, and understand — whether you’re on a desktop or your phone.
Over time, the salary tables have grown as more departments, pay plans, and benefits were added. This redesign focuses on giving you more control over how you view the data, while keeping things fast and mobile-friendly.
What’s New?
Here’s what the updated salary table now includes:
π Search by Department
Quickly find a specific department without scrolling through the entire list.
βοΈ Advanced Sorting Options
You can now sort by:
- Department name
- Salary
- Sponsored departments
- City population
- Number of sworn officers
- Sign-on bonus
ο»Ώ
This makes it much easier to spot trends or compare departments that matter most to you.
π Show / Hide Salary Years
Customize the table by showing only the years you want to see, whether that’s entry pay, top-out, or anything in between.
ποΈ Salary Filter (Sliding Scale)
Use the sliding scale to filter departments by salary range and instantly narrow down the results.
βοΈ Compare Up to 6 Departments at Once
Select multiple departments and compare them side-by-side to see how pay and incentives stack up.
π Visual Graphs
New graphs help turn the numbers into visuals, making comparisons quicker and easier to understand at a glance.
π± Improved Mobile View
The mobile card view has been optimized for smaller screens, while still giving you the option to switch back to the full table view if you prefer.
